While waiting for proper documentation, FAQ section as been updated with an entry to help people get started using the new logbook feature. Hope it helps...
Happy to announce I'll release a new Super Flight Planner release in a few days. There are several new features available:
- Multi-Pilot LogBook: since this is features written from scratch, Super Flight Planner allows just a basic (but rich, however) logging. Reporting capabilities are not implemented, yet (though totals can be already displayed on screen).
- View Flight Plan Only: this is a feature which was available in SFP version 2 but not implemented in version 3. Being reintroduced with ability to display navaids inherent to flight plan legs only.
- View Large Symbol: this is as well a feature which was available in SFP version 2 but not implemented in version 3. Being reintroduced with ability to display large or small VOR/NDB symbols.
I will be active in the forum on next days, looking for wish lists and last-minute bug fixes...
Happy new year!
I would like to introduce a good feature which will be available with next SFP release. Now along with flight planner we have a log-book facility. While the new feature aims to be as simple as possible, it doesn't lack many of the features available in a professional log-book software.
Here are a few among main features of Super Flight Planner log-book:
Multipilot
IFR, SVFR, VFR, Autoland aware
Uses Microsoft Access MDB databases (requires ADO).
Reporting (all pilots, one pilot, date range or all entries).
Flight Remarks.
Get data from SFP and MS-GPS flight plans.
Uses Aircraft from SFP Aircraft Database.
Can log burnt fuel.
Available soon
Super Flight Planner 4 RC2 will be released tomorrow. The control center display feature is now finished and operational. I just wanted to finish the pilot logbook, as well, but I'm going to Thailand next Monday and I'll stay there for ten days, therefore I have to leave this baby in progress: I just wanted to leave you with something to play with, meanwhile. Today in the afternoon I'll read new forum request and try to fix what needs to be fixed. If you have something else to report, use the forum, please!

Thanks,
Alex
