I have released Super Flight Planner 4, RC 4. Please find it in the download section, or go to avsim.com (if it's not online yet, wait a few hours). Unfortunately I'm very tired, I've been working all day to prepare the distro and I'm not willing to finish documentation about new IPC now: please wait tomorrow or after tomorrow.
Just one useful info: SFP is able to fly the current plan loaded in Flight Simulator (instead of writing routines to build my own GPS I tune the autopilot heading value to GPS Course to Steer as returned from FS: it's simpler and ensures you never go off-route with consequent ATC intervention as it's the case with 3rd party add-ons using theit own means). To enable auto-fly, turn on the IPC monitor and check the autofly field (you can find it by pressing the Assist button). Later on, enable autopilot in FS (press Z) and turn on heading hold. This will alow SFP to drive the aircraft using FS GPS Data.
Expect other info over the next few days.
Alex.
The Super Flight Planner new release is in the air (finally, I would say) and I'm working quite hard to tune it: there are still a few bugs which I'd like to handle before freeing the bird. Don't think I have been disappeared during these months! Instead I've been working quite hard on the improvement process I initiated last Fall and I have always been here monitoring the forum. There are a lot of unanswered mail posts and answers I had no time to reply, but I swear I have read all of them more than once!
Now, if you click on the "Read More" link on bottom of this article entry, you will see a long list of changes and a couple of screenshots showing how Super Flight Planner looks now.

Well, guys, I have good news regarding the next flight planner release: if all goes well, I'll be ready to distribute the last release candidate within end of this month.
It's been a long and busy time since Super Flight Planner project resumal (almost one year spent in research, coding and testing) and I'm starting to be a bit low on fuel. To avoid running out of fuel I'll try to schedule the final release for about mid of June. Then, I'll have the whole summer left to go resting and playing in the sun, while you'll surely get busy doing your flights
Before releasing I'll make a post here explaining what you will get along with this RC. Meantime, I see that since last modifications on the source code, the Wilco Boeing 777-200 hasn't crashed any longer; for today I have had my amount of satisfaction hereby.
Stay tuned.

Hello guys,
I'm here to talk about the progress done on Super Flight Planner project so far. Next release should be ready at about end of next week . I'm now fine-tuning the new IPC system which already works flawlessly here; I will also see whether I'd had some time left to provide a simple radio stack, as well [...]
With the upcoming of Super Flight Planner Release Candidate 3, I have purposes to start to focus on how to improve quality of existing software features and speed optimization,
Hello,
Glad to inform Super Flight Planner 4 Release Candidate 3 has been released and is now available for downloads. It took two months to complete this release and we have quite a lot of improvements and bottlenecks removals. You will enjoy the new map navaid symbols, the way they are drawn now compares almost if not totally with the quality offered by commercial flight planning systems. Slow old chunks of code have been replaced by new faster routines, in order to achieve a range of 15% to 50% speed increase. And finally, the new Pilot Logbook system... The photo gallery has been updated with two new screen-shots of the upcoming Super Flight Planner release.
Enjoy.
Super Flight Planner 4 RC2 will be released tomorrow. The control center display feature is now finished and operational. I just wanted to finish the pilot logbook, as well, but I'm going to Thailand next Monday and I'll stay there for ten days, therefore I have to leave this baby in progress: I just wanted to leave you with something to play with, meanwhile. Today in the afternoon I'll read new forum request and try to fix what needs to be fixed. If you have something else to report, use the forum, please!

Thanks,
Alex
