With Super Flight Planner 4.0.5, importing and exporting flight plans triggers a cc3260.dll not found error. [...]
Guys,
As I am now busy writing Super Flight Planner 5 I would like to ear some wish and tips from you, the end-users. I have opened a new forum where on the Forum page.

Guys,
as AVSIM site has been hacked, there is no more way to download Super Flight Planner - at least until when and if they repair the damage - however SFP 4.0.5 is also available on flightsim.com. Note that you have to create an account and login to access the file library and that a Subscription membership is applied there so that you might have to wait a bit to log-in as subscribing members are favorited. I'll also look for other sites next week.
The link to Super Flight Planner download has been restored. As a drawback, it cannot be downloaded straight from here any longer (due to post limits). Instead, the link to Super Flight Planner on Avsim file library is being provided in the downloads section.
I have decided to delay new SFP release a few days (please allow to 3 or 4 weeks maximum). This is due to a new feature I'm starting to implement but which is very important for fuel saving, that's the constant computing of optimal altitude during a FSUIPC session (you may use it in order to know when it's time for a step climb). For each aircraft, the user can define a climb step profile and SFP will interpolate optimal and maximum flight level from it.
That will take some day more to implement but will add the chance to optimize the fuel consumption expecially when used in couple with the already existing fuel predictor.
Cheers to all meantime...
Merry Christmas and Happy 2009 to every body.
Upcoming new year will see another Super Flight Planner release. Right now there are quite some bugfix and a couple of new features
- Fixed: Database Wizard Hanging, it now works again as it should. Note that this is the last SFP release importing fixes and routes from Flight Simulator. I will switch to AIRAC cysles after this.
- Fixed: Super Flight Planner not being given focus by Windows after running the Route Wizard. Program apparently seemed frozen after this even though it was not.
- Added: flight track hystory displayed on moving map. Like a flight recorder, anytime the plane moves, it's being recorded, since takeoff to landing. You can switch display on or off if you don't wish to see it.
- Added: you may switch off/on flight plan display on moving map, if you don't wish to see while inflight. While planning, you better turn it on!
- Added: you may switch on/off circles plotted around the plane symbol.
More fixes and/or additions will be added depending on time left to release
Hi great people,
the forum and mail as of these days are focusing mostly on two problems: infinite loops during fixes and routes scanning and a missing cc3260.dll while exporting FS9 flight plans. Therefore let me tell you here what to do, since the thread is soo generic. [ click on read more...]
This is the online version of the SFP IPC Interface Guide. Click on the read more link below to read the full article.

I have released a Flight Plan Export module for Ernie Alston's Integrated Simavionics, while waiting for the new SFP. You can download it from the SFP4 Add-ons section. Tomorrow will also upload a flight plan export module for PMDG 747-400. Note that these modules will be integrated by default with next release (sorry, still working hard on it).
I am in the process of adding X-Plane 9 in the list of simulators supported by SFP. Yes, I have seen XPL9 and I'm impressed, and I'm a bit fed-up with MS FS which has given me a lot of problems since FS2004. It's not a lengthy operation since X-Plane database is available for free on the Net, and that's one of the main reasons for the Database Wizard rewrite. Having said that, I would you be so grateful to my dear X-Plane friends if they could stop begging me for X-Plane support. It takes time to reply one hundred times to same question. Don't ask anything, just put me and keep me at work
