The WEB software has been upgraded due to a deface which happened last day. Site should now be protected however some malfunction may happen during the next few days: if so, it'll be caught and corrected, for any issues try to come back later.
I have released a Flight Plan Export module for Ernie Alston's Integrated Simavionics, while waiting for the new SFP. You can download it from the SFP4 Add-ons section. Tomorrow will also upload a flight plan export module for PMDG 747-400. Note that these modules will be integrated by default with next release (sorry, still working hard on it).
Well, guys, I have good news regarding the next flight planner release: if all goes well, I'll be ready to distribute the last release candidate within end of this month.
It's been a long and busy time since Super Flight Planner project resumal (almost one year spent in research, coding and testing) and I'm starting to be a bit low on fuel. To avoid running out of fuel I'll try to schedule the final release for about mid of June. Then, I'll have the whole summer left to go resting and playing in the sun, while you'll surely get busy doing your flights
Before releasing I'll make a post here explaining what you will get along with this RC. Meantime, I see that since last modifications on the source code, the Wilco Boeing 777-200 hasn't crashed any longer; for today I have had my amount of satisfaction hereby.
Stay tuned.
Hello, I think I have found a way to import Airac cycles into Super Flight Planner 4, which is a feature which was available in SFP3 through SFPTools but no longer now... [...]
The download system has been changed from Remository to Docman, a faster, lighter and simpler download manager. Hopefully that should solve the various download problems reported during past days.
Hello people. Here is a screen shot of the work I did during the past days. Now, Super Flight Planner is able to display data from Flight Simulator GPS (both fsx and fs2004, depending on what you are running), as well as being able to increase to next waypoint, decrease to previous waypoint.
I have now started to focus on the autopilot system, which I'll introduce as soon as it's ready to go. We'll the proceed on distributing the very last Release Candidate and after several more test we'll enjoy the final product.
Keep in touch.
Hello People
I would like to inform I have successfully implemented the first one of the several steps necessary to bring fresh air to the Flight Simulator link interface. The first job has been the reengineering of the existing IPC routines.
I have heavily changed the code in order to strip out access violation issues given by multi-threading.
The link routine now doesn't talk directly to Moving Map any longer, it instead uses multi thread windows to exchange data throught the Windows message processing queue, making the code virtually AV safe. The code is a little bit slower (unnoticeable however) while the planner still runs smoothly. I can see the result of my efforts by having Super Flight Planner and FSX running and linked together on my desktop since almost 8 hours without any error at all...
With the upcoming of Super Flight Planner Release Candidate 3, I have purposes to start to focus on how to improve quality of existing software features and speed optimization,
A site software is being planned - therefore we might expect some troubles
